Gavin's Ordination Ceremony

Sunday, October 12^th, we are celebrating with Pastor Gavin as he is ordained in the United Church of Christ! Please join us at 2 P.M. as we pray, praise, and witness the Holy Spirit work as Gavin receives blessings from ministers of the Southeast Conference of the UCC and is charged with the holy duty of congregational care. We will sing some old favorite hymns and some new praises; we will pray for Gavin’s career in ministry, that he spreads the news about Jesus’ love and compassion, embodying Christ’s example of service to the best of his ability; and we will witness the laying-on-of-hands of called clergy, a UCC tradition symbolizing the Holy Spirit being shared when we gather in Christ’s name, and the passing of the call to ministry to a newly-ordained minister.
