About the event

This Lenten season, the Southeast Conference invites individuals and congregations to actively prepare for the Resurrection of Christ through thoughtful conversation and shared learning.
This session will focus on The Search for Common Ground by Howard Thurman, a profound reflection on affirming identity while cultivating meaningful community across difference. Participants will explore how Christian faith can shape lives rooted in dignity, reconciliation, and shared belonging.
Rev. Thomas Mitchell will facilitate this conversation, guiding participants through Thurman’s vision for spiritual growth and communal transformation.
Participants are welcome whether they have read the book or are simply curious about engaging faith more deeply during Lent.
This is part of a three-part Lenten series. Attend one, two, or all sessions.
